Passé simple Regolare
Il passé simple narra eventi passati completati in uno stile letterario o molto formale. Nella conversazione quotidiana, le persone usano invece il passé composé, quindi si incontra principalmente questa forma nei libri e nel giornalismo.

Imparfait Regolare
L'imparfait descrive azioni passate in corso o ripetute e stabilisce il contesto — come erano le cose, cosa accadeva di solito, il tempo, i sentimenti. Il passé composé, al contrario, segna eventi singoli e completati.

Conditionnel Regolare
